This 18 Inch Doll Dakota Slouch is great to complete the art set for your daughter/granddaughter's 18 inch doll!
Disclosure: This hat is designed bigger than the doll's head to achieve the goal of it being an artist's hat. Just slouch it back a little and there you go!

Fine-2 weight yarn
- Mary Maxim, Twinkle, about 50 yards
D-3 (3.25mm) crochet hook
Fabric scissors
Yarn needle, to weave ends

17 dc sts x 10 rows is 4”

Ch 3
Round 1: 10 dc in 3rd ch from hook, join in first st of round (10 dc sts)
Round 2: ch 2, 2 dc in same st as this round's ch 2, 2 dc in each st around, join in first st of round (20 dc sts)
Round 3: ch 2, 2 dc in same st as this round's ch 2, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st* repeat * to * around, join in first st of round (30 dc sts)
Round 4: ch 2, 2 dc in same st as this round's ch 2, dc in next 2 sts, *2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts* repeat * to * around, join in first st of round (40 dc sts)
Round 5: ch 2, 2 dc in same st as this round's ch 2, dc in next 3 sts, *2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts* repeat * to * around, join in first st of round (50 dc sts)

Row 4: blsc in each st, turn (3 blsc sts)
