This is a very easy star applique pattern. Take worsted weight yarn and an F crochet hook, and have one done in a couple minutes!
Materials
Extra soft worsted weight yarn
F-5 (3.75mm) crochet hook
Fabric scissors
Yarn needle, to weave ends

slst-slip stitch
hdc-half double crochet
dc-double crochet

Star
Start with yellow yarn.
ch 3, 15 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, join
ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc, dc, skip st, slst in next sts, *slst in next st, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc, dc, skip st, slst in next st* repeat * to * 3 more times, cut yarn, fasten off, weave ends
