Materials
Worsted weight yarn (4-medium)
- White
- Dark blue
I-9 (5.50mm) crochet hook
Fabric scissors
Yarn needle, to weave ends
Gauge
6 dc stitches x 3 rows is 2″

Hat
Starting with white yarn,
Round 1: ch 3, 11 dc in 3rd ch from hook, join in first dc of round (11 sts)
Round 2: ch 2, 2 dc in each st around, join (22 sts)
Round 3: ch 2, 2 dc in first st, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st* repeat * to * around, join in first dc of round (33 sts)
Round 4: ch 2, 2 dc in first st, dc in next 8 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 8 sts* repeat * to * 1 more time around, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 5 sts, join in first dc of round (37 sts)
Rounds 5-10: ch 2, dc in each st around, join in first dc of round (37 sts)
Cut yarn and change to blue yarn.
Round 11: ch 1, sc in each st around, join in first sc of round, cut yarn, fasten off, weave ends (37 sts)
Bow (optional)
- Using this bow pattern with red yarn and an I hook
- Fold up bottom of hat at least 3 rounds, attach the bow to the right side, right below the blue round
