Join rnds where indicated with a sl st in the first st of the rnd.
With A, ch 3.
Rnd 1: [2 dc, ch 3] 3 times in 3rd ch from hook, join. (8 dc, 4 ch-3 sps)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (does not count as a st throughout), dc in each of first 2 sts, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in ch-3 sp, [dc in each of next 2 sts, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in ch-3 sp] 3 times, join. (24 dc, 4 ch-3 sps)
Rnd 3: Ch 2, [dc in each st across to next ch-3 sp, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in ch-3 sp] 4 times, dc in each remaining st across, join. (40 dc, 4 ch-3 sps). Stitch count will increase by 16 dc for each repeat of rnd 3.
Rnd 4: Repeat rnd 3. (56 dc, 4 ch-3 sps)
Change to B.
Rnds 5-12: Repeat rnd 3. (184 dc, 4 ch-3 sps)
Change to C.
