Sizes Included
1-3 lb: 8.5-9″ circumference, 3.5-4″ length
3-5 lb: 11-11.5″ circumference, 4-5″ length
6-8 lb: 12-12.5″ circumference, 5-6″ length
9-11 lb (Newborn): 13-14″ circumference, 6-6.5″ length

Materials
Extra soft worsted weight yarn
- We recommend Lion Brand, Vanna's Choice.

- Light Pink (optional)
- 1-3 lb: ~ 17 yards of yarn for hat only, not for add-ons
- 3-5 lb: ~34 yards of yarn for hat only, not for add-ons
- 6-8 lb: ~43 yards of yarn for hat only, not for add-ons
- 9-11 lb (Newborn): ~51 yards of yarn for hat only, not for add-ons
G-6 (4.00mm) crochet hook
2 small black buttons
1″ button (optional)

Beak
With orange yarn.
ch 3
sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next st, cut yarn, fasten off, weave ends
- With orange yarn and a yarn needle
- Attach the beak to the front of the hat with a yarn needle
Eyes
- With 2 small black buttons, white yarn and a yarn needle
- attach the eyes right above the beak
Feathers
- Cut three 8″ stands of yellow yarn
- At the top of the hat, attach the three pieces of yarn with a yarn needle
- Take both end together
- Make a knot close to the hat
- Cut the yarn to the length you would like
Flower (optional)
- Using this flower pattern (I skipped the leaves using this pattern,) with white worsted weight yarn 1″ button, and a G hook
- attach the flower just above the right eye to the right side
Bow (optional)
- Using this pattern for bow with light pink worsted weight yarn and a G hook
- Attach bow on front, towards the top part of the hat
