with gray yarn.

11 sc around ring, (do NOT join), cut yarn, fasten off, weave ends
- with gray yarn and a yarn needle
- attach the circle to the top of the cap
- with gray yarn and a yarn needle
- attach the cap to the top of the hat
- with an 8 inch strand of thin gray ribbon
- take the ribbon through the loop of the cap
- take both sides together
- make a knot
Glare (Sparkle)
- with white yarn and a yarn needle
- starting with the big glare, make a plus sign (+)
- then on top of the plus sign make an X
- tie both ends together
- to the left make a smaller glare by making a plus sign (+)
- then on top of the plus sign, make an X
- tie both ends together
- third glare, move down in between the 2 previous glares
- make a third glare in the same manner as before, but slightly smaller
- tie both ends together
